BSB – Round 1 Silverstone

Well what a weekend where do i start. it was fantastic being a part of a great well run team like motobreakers and the support they gave me over the challenging situations we faced was fantastic.

My goal for the race meeting and the year is to learn the circuits and generate competitive lap times in preparation for 2017. this week end we did well but fell short of my goal due mainly to the session red flag stoppages and limited laps resulting from them and the abandoned 1st …race.

On a positive note we managed to lower my PBs by approx 3 seconds in each session no matter how short the session, and really my lap times only made it to a level where bike setup affects things in the middle of the last and only race on Sunday.

In this race finally my comfort levels with the circuit were good but as i dropped another 3.5 seconds per lap I started to struggle with the bike on a few critical corners. these issues are normally ironed out in testing prior to a race meet or at the very least in the free practice sessions but for reasons above this wasnt possible.

The important thing is that i love the circuit and we have some useful feedback for crew chief Pete Clifford to make changes to allow me to push to the next level.

This new set up will just have to wait for a trackday at Silverstone in the not too distant future.
The racing is at a high level over here and exactly what i was hoping for no better way to learn and progress and i cant wait for the next two times on track testing at Brands Hatch Indy circuit and at Oulton Park. thanks for all of you well wishes and your support . thanks team Moto Breakers I’m Livin the dream!!!

ASBK rd 2 Morgan Park April 2015

It was a great weekend out at Morgan Park, weather was good and a big thanks to everyone who came out to the track supporting the event.

Well in race one I didn’t get the best of starts (bit too much power causing a big wheelie) and that set me back where I had to fight my way back to 6th Position. The race was then red-flagged and while we were waiting on the re-start grid my engine overheated and stopped and wouldn’t turn back on. Much pushing and shoving later I was able to start the race from pit lane and in 4 laps worked my way back into 7th position across the line.

Race 2 was a better start and I was up with the front runners but then I missed a gear, ran wide and spent the rest of the race working my way through the field to cross the line in p7 again. Not really the results I was looking for but on a positive note…I didn’t crash YAY!!! :)

ASBK round 2 July 2014 – Phillip Island

Qualified 13th, race 1 finished 8th, race 2 started from pit lane, got up to 4th position and crashed on last lap.  Had a lot of problems with set up this weekend. Finally started to go right by last race.  Got fastest lap time on lap 4 and 9

ASBK round 1 April 2014 Queensland Raceway

Sam got the fastest lap time in free practice.  Qualified 3rd but couldn’t finish super pole so started in position 4 on the grid.    Race 1 – second place until last lap when unfortunately back marker traffic contributed to a spectacular crash.  Unable to compete in race 2.

Lap times are posted below:
